7700 Series Laser Welding System with Universal Jig for Welding Large Parts

LaserStar’s 7700 Series Laser Welding System with Universal Jig is very popular in the mold repair micro-welding laser industry, for companies with applications using large cavities or larger mold sizes and parts.

The 7700 Series is ideal for a variety of spot welding and seam welding applications including plastic injection mold, dies and tooling repair, complex electronic components, high-precision industrial assemblies, pressure-sensitive hermetic laser sealing and other unique industrial applications for the automotive, aerospace, aviation, computer, medical device, mold repair and consumer product industries.

LaserStar laser welding systems are ideal for a wide range of welding applications:

  • Lay a bead as small as .0025” / 0.05mm
  • Repair slots, pockets, radius contours and angles
  • Repair polished, textured and engraved surfaces
  • Repair thin walls with little or no warping
  • Repair parting line edges and heat sensitive areas
  • Alloys include tool steel, aluminum, copper, titanium and powdered metals

The LaserStar micro-welding laser produces a high-quality result, reduces the amount of handwork required before polishing and practically eliminates sink lines.

Many materials can be laser welded using these laser welding systems including 300 and some 400 series stainless steel, mild steels, nickel and nickel alloys, aluminum and aluminum alloys, titanium, precious metal alloys (gold, silver and platinum), etc. Multiple power levels are available (100, 150 and 200 Watt) to meet a wide variety of application requirements.

Laser Welding Accessories

We have several accessories available for use with our 7700 Series Universal Jig System. Below are just a few of our most popular ones.

  • Adjustable Work Table - The adjustable work table allows the operator to mount various parts or fixtures that require positioning or linear motion. It aids in larger parts handling as well. The work table has a motorized Z for focusing.

  • Magnetic Jig Fixture - The Magnetic Jig Fixture acts like a third hand which allows the operator to place smaller parts on it and hold it steady with the ability to rotate or swivel on various angles.
  • Heavy Duty Vice - The Heavy Duty Vice holds a part firmly, to keep it square to the laser. It also has a built-in sine plate as the base to give the ability to work at various angles.
  • Large Rotary Device - The Large Rotary Device has a 5-inch adjustable chuck for holding larger diameter parts for rotational welds. It also has a built-in sine plate on the base to perform fillet welds when needed.
